The necessary elements of a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner are as follows: a plump roast turkey with stuffing (or “dressing” depending on your locale), mashed potatoes with gravy (smooth or chunky), cranberry sauce (canned or homemade – I‘m down with the rings of gelatin myself), green bean casserole (we’ll side-step the debate about whether this dish is a hit or a miss), candied yams (pecans or marshmallows or both) and of course pumpkin pie with mounds of whipped cream (can or hand whipped).
Thoughts of thanks and special thanksgiving ceremonies are common among most societies, after harvest and at other times of celebration. The NPP team is no different. Thanksgiving is a time of year we pause to give thanks for our good fortune and express our gratitude for all the members and brands we work with every day.
To all our members, thank you for purchasing items through NPP. We are owned by non-profit hospitals and a substantial portion of NPP proceeds help support medical research at Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason (BRI) in Seattle, WA.
BRI works to predict, prevent, reverse and cure immune system diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, type 1 diabetes, lupus, Crohn’s disease, allergies and asthma. We are also especially thankful for the hardworking researchers at BRI who are trying to advance medicine in our community and beyond.
If you aren’t an NPP member, consider joining NPP. It’s free and we would love to have you on board. Hopefully, our B2B marketplace would give you the opportunity to be thankful for us.
We also have the privilege to work with some of the finest brands in the world and our list of offerings continues to grow. We are appreciative of the ability to help these brands grow by offering more than 300,000 NPP members discounts and special pricing on products and services from companies such as Verizon, Office Depot, Sherwin-Williams, Priceline, UniFirst and Airgas.
Thanksgiving is indeed the perfect time to reflect on all the things we are thankful for in our lives, including the rewards of doing good business. It is a pleasure to say how thankful we are for you.
We hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving!
