YRC Renamed Yellow

YRC Renamed Yellow

YRC Worldwide Inc. has changed its name to Yellow with a goal to provide a superior customer experience under one Yellow brand, to coordinate shipments better and reduce transit times. The company points out that shippers should notice little difference outside of gradually improved transit times lane by lane.

“As we continue our transformation into a super-regional, LTL freight carrier, it is the right time to reintroduce the Yellow Corporation name and modernize the holding company brand,” said Darren Hawkins, Chief Executive Officer. “Once we announced our plans to rebrand, our customers and employees shared their excitement. The Yellow brand is synonymous with the LTL industry and we are honored to continue its proud legacy of service with one of the largest, most comprehensive logistics and LTL networks in North America.”

The newly named Yellow will be building upon a legacy as creators of the LTL industry, strengthened by a superior network, an expansive shipping footprint and more than 30,000 dedicated employees across the country.

Yellow will use one enterprise-wide sales team, instead of the four or five under the old network. Terminals with close geographic range and sufficient capacity will be merged, saving costs.

As the company website announces, “One Yellow. The name you know is now even better. With dynamic shipping solutions, an expansive network and deep logistics knowledge, we can help you deliver like never before.”
